Flooding the dark streets with light,
But then shadows still remain,
A shelter for all those in pain,
And in the shadows is where I dwell,
A home for all condemned to hell,
The darkness clouds my eyes,
Or maybe it’s just all the lies.

The oceans tides crash up upon the shore,
The waves flow and break without law,
That is what is in the sea,
And that is what beckons me,
Dive under the murky marine,
And you will see there is no gleam,
Deep beneath the surface no light can go,
Or maybe it just doesn’t want to show.

The light and dark,
Come and go leaving no mark,
The dark and light,
An eternal fight,
One that will never be resolved,
One that can never be solved. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 21 [informant] => dizza_13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
