Array ( [sid] => 6011 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Birds... [time] => 2002-10-31 22:30:00 [hometext] => I guess I wrote this for Halloween except for those who read will probably think I'm insane since it makes little sense and is very random. Warning: If you are very fond of birds do not read this poem...lol :) [bodytext] => From the witches mouths I heard these words
“Beware the songs of the mockingbirds
The nightingale’s enchantment is binding strong
The peacock’s beauty conceals the wrongs
And within the steely heart of the colorful pheasant
Lies darkness and sins with nothing pleasant.”
From the sorcerer’s mouths I heard these words
“Watch out for the songs of the dreamlike birds
For dreams of paradises shall be broken soon
When the silver wolf howls under the silver moon
The eagle’s cry is a warning clear
To stay away from the hawk’s tears
The cassowary’s power is forever strong
And the swan’s beauty defeats its song
But be wary of black for the color stains
And listen not to rooster’s pains”
From the wizard’s mouth I heard these cries
“Look not to the enthralling evening skies
For that is where the danger is hidden
And this knowledge is eternally forbidden
That the goldfinch is filled with cruelty and greed
Flying to where the white arctic penguins feed
Unknown to the eyes of the human on earth
There lie hidden shadows with plenty in worth
Venture not into these creatures’ lair
For death is waiting for you there”
From the warlock’s mouths I heard these roars
“Listen not to the other’s folklores
There are riches and fortunes waiting to be taken
There is no land on earth where human hands are forsaken
Explore and find what your destiny has decided
They merely want it so they have denied it
Listen to the urges within your soul
These riches will finally make you whole
Discover yourself with silver and gold
And know what this earthy planet can hold
Heed my words and go into the nests
Where my ally birds now do rest
They shall help and hinder you not
*Except maybe they’ll help you learn to rot*

This was awesome! You paint so well with your words, I actually read the entire thing, and it's long! I give it a 5+ on the Nortiscale. I'll watch for your stuff in the future with enthusiasm.
