Array ( [sid] => 59999 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Redeeming Hope... [time] => 2004-08-13 11:16:41 [hometext] => A man came into my life one dark day, and he gave me the will to believe in God again... Many thanks to this mysterious man, whom I call Hope... [bodytext] => There she lies,
Motionless, beautiful...
Evils touch still present on her pallid skin...
Tainted and morbid she was left to live this Hell called "Life"...
That seemingly endless odyssey...
Worn down by horrible memories of the past,
She has no voice to speak out to the world...
All she has are her incessant tears of anguish...

Her wings were clipped off by some ungrateful Father...
And she was hurled into the ruthless sea of Life...
Only to endure more pain, more suffering...
Insanity waits patiently, jaws wide open to catch whomever falls...
Fear sighs deeply, and Death strikes...
Musty, harsh hands caress her soul...
And she swallows it all,
All of the hate, the pain, the martyrdom...
And it all becomes one big ball of emotions at the pit of her stomach...

Tears are silent to the ear and the eye,
Pleas are disregarded...
Shouts of pain are neglected...
And she is still here, living this life as a figment...
She has asked Him for forgiveness,
For strength,
For knowledge...
But He still doesn't answer...
Why even bother?
No use in praying to something that is not even there...

But suddenly, Hope, as bright as the Sun, appeared right before her eyes,
In the form of a man...
He held out his hand, with a kind smile,
And she took it without hesitation...
He consoled her,
Rid her of the anguish and guilt she felt...
The impure angel had sinned so much,
Spat out His name as if vile poison,
Lost all hope and faith in Him...
But he brought it back, this heavenly messenger...
A sense of relief and joy enveloped her battered body,

And she started to believe again!
Liquid formed, and spilled through her amber eyes,
Not of hate, pain, or fear...
But of happiness...
She bathed in this new light,
That emitted from the enigmatic man...
The coarse lips finally parted and cracked into a smile...
A voice climbed the thorny tree,
And formed words...
"Thank you," she said, her voice trembling with exhilaration...
"You saved me... How can I ever repay you?"

He shook his head with a smile and replied,
"I am but a man, nothing more...nothing less...
You owe me naught, but your happiness..."
And by that, he embraced her... she embraced him...
He walked off into the endless horizon,
“I will always be there for you…” flowing back to the repented young girl…
And with a bright, knowing smile,
She realized that God had finally answered her prayers…
In the form of a mere man… [comments] => 3 [counter] => 177 [topic] => 11 [informant] => FleurdeSang [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )

No one could ever clip your wings permanently, dear Fleur--and any mere man would be blessed by your happiness. To know you, if only through your writing, is to know a fascinating soul tempered by a profound sense of beauty, as well as by suffering. Though Hope is welcome in all its many-splendored forms, the true light is that which resides within you. No ruthless parent, no strife, and no degree of neglect can weigh you down, so long as a belief in yourself may thrive.

You will live to put your past behind you. This is my belief, as surely as the sun shall rise tomorrow. Thank you for this Hope you have given me, as well as to all others who may benefit from your words. Sincerely,

Your Friend, -Kris

And with open arms he welcomes you home.
La plus chère fleur du sang, my heart sings that you may have found happiness and moved away from the constant shadow of pain. I hope that "HOPE" stays ever after with you and walks beside you through all things.

Nazmythian ~
