Can you see the blushing beauty standing in the way?
She will take her time to discover her own voice.
Once she starts she will not stop.
She'll pick up her life that stands on a counter.
Can you see the metal top?
That is the release.
Once upon her skin, she will fall to the pits of a world so angry.
Can you see the bottom whose handle is black?
Neither can she as her eyes focus upon the cold steel in her warm blood.
There stands a girl before you who you do no recognize.
She is beautiful and happy.
Do you not recognize her?
She is you on the outside.
If she could see you she would see an empty pit of nothing.
No light
No darkness
just space
waiting to be filled with the blood dripping from her wrists. Beautiful poem, dark but vey intriguing. This is a little different from other suicide poems I've read but that makes it all the more interesting to read.
