[bodytext] => I still remember meeting you on that first day I wanted to talk to you even though I had nothing to say You never even once looked into my eyes But I needed to talk to someone who didn't know all the secrets and lies I was surprised the next day when you remembered my name And after that, good friends we became Then one day you disappeared, and just like that you were gone I stayed up crying every night until dawn But after a while, I was tired of feeling so alone And I decided to call you on the phone As soon as I heard your voice, my whole body began to shake It had been such a long time since I felt so awake We became even closer after that day And it seemed all my pain was melting away I could talk to you about anything, anything at all And you were always there when I was about to fall You never seemed to be that open with me But i could tell you were trying to be the best friend you could be Then one day, you just broke down You told me all the reasons you frown You told me everything that was wrong And about how you'd been hurting for so long I was overcome by all the secrets you had to tell, All the secrets that you'd hidden so well You told me what you needed me for You needed help closing that door I could be the one to save your life, And get rid of all your pain and strife After that moment, I did everything I could Everything that a best friend should But you didn't even seem to want to try And every night, lying in bed, I couldn't help but cry I cried for you and all the pain you felt I cried for me and this mission I'd been dealt From all the pressure I began to feel numb And I couldn't help but want to run But I couldn't just let you down I had promised to always be around And I'm still doing the best I can I'm trying so hard to lend a helping hand But you keep drifting further and further away And I don't think I can deal with the pressure for one more day...
