Array ( [sid] => 5995 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Grow up [time] => 2002-10-31 19:40:00 [hometext] => I was a new juinor transfer student at Meadowdale High school and i was pretty nervous just walking around. I eventually asked "is this class hard?" to this guy in Sign language. He Wore glasses and had boots with no laces, so i thought it would be ok to talk to him. He got off and called me a "fag" and said he was gonna kick my after school. I met him at the flag pole, gave him this poem and walked home unscathed.
(one of my earlier poems, pretty chopy) (feedback needed) [bodytext] => Men are angry all to often,
in a rush to fight.
their frozen heart,
to dark to soften,
will never see the light.
They hide behind a wall of rage
that seems to set the free
I know this wall
is just a cage
and no one has the key.

His hands have been in constant pain
from slipping down the social chain
the sound of people laughting
while their pointing at his face
had brought him to the breaking point
and put him in his place.

I'd plug his ears to stop the noise
to me there's nothing sadder
than starting with skater boys
to climb the social ladder.

Bad idea to step to me
I'm smarter than the devil
you'd think with glasses he could see
hes on a lower level...

playitforward,

This is a very good poem, I enjoyed reading it
Sad that some people never learn...

Too bad life brings so many people into one's world that have such ill directed power. I wonder if the person knows that he has been immortalized in print? Ah, the poet's revenge. Great job.

Well done, but if this guy is a stupid as he seems, I don't think these wise words would mean anything to him
