what the Next Day will bring
Well it be a little different
or just the same old thing

You think a change is needed
from the boring life you live
Going to the same places
where there is no one there to give

Give what you have to offer
some friendship and some love
Not idle chatter and drinking
and the usual push and shove

Could you find an amiable place
where you might be able to dance
Maybe a special person
and even a little romance

That would make the Next Day
much easier to bare
To have somebody to talk to
some friendship and love to share

Wouldn't it just be wonderful
to have a life like this
To come home to a lovely person
and be greeted with a kiss
