What is it that you see
Do you see a girl
Whose life is better than you know

Do you think I am strong
And I know where I belong
Do you think I have my life under control

How can I tell you
About all of my pain
That I never see the sunshine
And I only feel the rain

That I never have known love
And my soul is empty too
How can I explain
The way I feel to you

Trust is a word
I don't understand
Searching through the darkness
I reach out my hand

I think I might be reaching
Until the day I die
At once I fall to my knees
And I begin to cry.

Suddenly a light
Comes shining from above
The rays of God fall down
Carrying all his love

I can see the Angels now
As they lift me to my feet
They say my life has just begun
And my depression I will beat

I close my eyes
And bow my head
I hear the words the Angels said

I thank the Lord
As I begin to pray
Knowing I'll find happiness
