The kind that mixes different hues
Different colors of the day
Never seem to be painted my way

My day trudges by ever so slow
But on my face sorrow never shows
I put on a smile and seem to not care
But Id just rather not be there

People and friends always arround
But for me never a soul to be found
Paint me a picture, one of my life
Paint me a picture without grief or strife

Why does this painter paint in black
Color is one thing this picture lacks
Bring into my heart a rainbow of colors
Fill my heart with happyness of others

With all this black inside of me
Who can I turn to that will possibly see
They will see the softer side of me
The side I wish everyone could see

Oh play me a song to make me dance
Make my heart fill with romance
Oh play me a soothing tune
One to make me forget of you

Sing me a song that brings a smile
A smile that been overdue for a while
A smile not only placed upon my face
A smile deep inside my hearts' empty space

Oh help me please
Can you see the blue in the black
Oh help me please
Can you help me get back on track

Darkness hides behind this false curtain of joy
Everyone neglects the fact of this ploy
They choose not to actually see
That this smile is not really a part of me

Why cant I be as happy as I look
Why cant you see what you took
My black hearted blues
