And if this is really true
Then my path has met a crossroad
A choice I must make about you

It's time to make a decision
To choose which path I take
For our future hangs in the balance
So I dare not make a mistake

The left path is the safest
A route I know so well
But lacking the heights of heaven
Along with the depths of hell

For there I keep my silence
Denying these feelings inside
Maintaining this cloak of friendship
And behind that mask I’ll hide

Or do I choose the right path
But it leads I know not where
Perhaps to the gate of heaven itself
Or into the mouth of despair

For there I let the truth be known
And risk my heart and soul
I drop this wall so carefully built
And let fate then take her toll

Are you to be or not to be
The one for whom I’ve waited
The object of my life long search
For whom my love is fated

And so I look for a little sign
For the path that I should take
But the angels keep their silence
The decision mine to make

And so I take that fateful step
What the future brings we’ll see
For I can’t undo any damage done
May the fates have mercy on me

Oh my goodness ... you seemed to have looked through a window to my heart and written of my exact situation ... what an incredible feeling it was to read these words! - and so well written, so perfectly expressed - I truly hope you take the road that brings you great happiness ... Jan

mrpeanut64, slow and safe, steady and sure may win the race ... But I'll bet the bunny had better stories ! Never taking the chance ... means you'll never know, and in some cases may always wonder. Another pleasurable read.

Naz ~
