and is isnt really what I do
I may be out with other people
But all I think about is you
You make me feel bad
When I'm not there
Waiting for me to call you
At the phone you stare
Do you know that i miss you
When you are not around
Please believe your in my thoughts
No matter where I'm bound
The next day approches
And I'm excited because you're there
I try to make you smile
But you just sit there and stare
We hardly even talk
I dont know what to do
To make you understand
That I'm so happy to see you
Did I put it in your head
That I'm going to hurt you once more
Is that why your so scared
Is that why sometimes you shut the door
I'm just trying to make the time we spend
The great way that they usually are
Tell me, did I cut your heart so deep
That all thats left there is a scar?

Why do you leave out the bad

I'm sure he doesn't mean to think the worst... it's just that little demon on his right shoulder saying "what's she doing?"... if you are just going out with your friends... then he'll understand... and I'm sure that scar will heal right up in time!

Wow! Well all I can say is this person sounds like they have deep feelings for you it's called LOVE!! When you have it you dont want to be away from that person not even a second,
I know you sometimes need space & need to get out with friends,but hes thinking you need space from HIM,so I guess it would be tough on either shoe!TRUST is very important in a relationship! Beautiful poem!Good Luck Christina |

Because the only bad thing I've seen thus far, is the situation we're in, there's nothing else about us I don't love. I try not to talk about it for two reasons.
One: I promised you I wouldn't question or pressure you and when we talk about it you tend to think that's what I'm doing. And all I am is my promises to you.
Two: I don't talk about it, because I figure you're aware of it. We've been in this "place" for a long time now... the conversation deosn't seem to change.
Why do I sound so scared? Because I am. I'm scared to lose the only thing I've ever wanted. I'm also afraid I'm losing my strength. I'm scared of how much longer this will go on. Actually, the only thing I'm not afraid of is you.

I really don't know, I guess the same reason certain songs bring up bad memories for people.
Because I don't want you to see the pain I'm in and the eyes are the window to my soul. I've always been that way, I'll explain it further if you'd like.

And it's not so much that I'm mad, but sometimes the past comes back to haunt me. It's not that you're going out with friends, it's that your friends don't accept and I'm tired of being "hidden" from them. And then there's always the other.

I don't mean too, I just miss you.
And once again, because sometimes the past comes back to haunt me.

I know what you think I think and yes, occasionally I do. But that's only because of the situation.

Don't feel bad.
Yes, I do like when you call, but I'm not sitting in the dark waiting for the phone to ring... usually.

Not always, but often enough I guess. It's not always easy to turn the depression or fear off, ya know. But you know I'm happy you're there... right?

Because sometimes I'm affraid of what I might say. This goes back to the promise of not pressuring. You know I always say what's on my mind and not being able to is very hard for me. And I know you are... most of the time.

That is a fear of mine. I don't think I can handle that again.

Kind of, but you're the only one who can heal the wound.

You can get mad. I'll love you no less. Just tell me I'm being an a**hole and to give it a rest.

I've been asking that question for awhile, I have no answer for ya.
