Holding my tiny hand
So tightly,
He whispered to me,

"I'll never let go."

I might have thought differently
Or never even thought it was true,
But he never let go.
14 years later,
After I shut him out
All I want is to hear him say,

"I'll never let go."

I close my eyes
And call him.
"God,
Are you there?
Are you still holding my hand?
I just want you to know....

I'll never let go."

Yes, God never lets go. And when we are weak he carries us. When nothing else works, God does.

Love,
Rita

Amen. He is always there. The constant in our worst and best times. Imagine life without Him? I don't want to.

Wonderfully written - how well you depict the path to your last lines

I will never let go -

He is always with us- and even when we have let him go - are welcomed back, to learn we never left.

Terrific.
