Array ( [sid] => 59504 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => 'Us' [time] => 2004-08-09 16:41:24 [hometext] => hmm.... subject was very hard to find on this one.... it's not quite a lost love, but it's not a love poem... well, see for yourself... [bodytext] => Every time I tried to change
You ignored me, said I was strange
I wasn't an animal you could tame
But you wanted me to remain the same

We were trying to start a relationship
But those fights we had began a rip
My hair, my clothes, the rip tore
Until I couldn't talk to you anymore

You asked me to talk about 'us'
But then all we could do was cuss
I'm the one who finally said the good-byes
And I didn't miss those tears in your eyes

So how come when I see you around work
It's on you that my eyes seem to lurk?
I can't get you out of my head
I'm remembering everything you said

When we sit and talk the feeling's there
I look and know that you still care
But here I am, and there you hide
Your silence is killing me inside

You say you can't deal with my 'uniqueness'
Your 'perfect love' has turned to such a mess
I love you, so how come everything I try
Ends with one of us drying our eyes?

Awesome poem. You made the right choice. Anyone that can't accept you for you isn't the one for you. Easier said than accepted, but true nonetheless. I'm proud of you for doing the right thing, even though it was (and is) obviously hard. *hugs*

I really like your poem here Jaime.....there are very strong emotions here obviously, but love is not fighting and tears. Love is tender with increased joys down through the years.
Great poem.,well stated and easily related!
Good job indeed!
Poetic hugs,
consue

Not that I'm sure *uniqueness* is a word, how can one not deal with it? shesh, you're "uniqueness" is what sets you apart from others. Stupid biatch. She doesnt know what she's missing. *huffs*
