[hometext] => I wrote this some time ago. A relationship had failed. I saw the signs too late. It ended worse than it had too.
[bodytext] => In the name of anger It was in the name of love that I would hold you And wipe away your tears And it was in the name of love that I stood by you Through those long and lonely years ( short interlude ) It was in the name of love I tried to save you from yourself I tried to pull you from your bottles Bring you back across the edge It was in the name of love I tried to help you understand There is only so much I can take For I am just a man Now my love's been overpowered By a darkness deep inside I think it's time I spread my wings And relearn how to fly It's not that I don't love you And its not like I don't care But you've asked my heart for so much more Than it's prepared to bear ( chorus ) So in the name of anger I've decided to take flight Under cover of the darkness My spirit rises high In the name of anger My blood flows free tonight I surrender to your madness And I'll leave this life behind ~ In the name of anger Love can only hold someone A prisoner for so long Neglect and indecision take their toll And love moves on The spirit tries to fill the void Loves absence has created With emotions strong enough To occupy the space vacated You can't say I never warned you Or cried out in my sleep But the nails I've had to sleep upon Have brought me to my knees So I'm fighting for survival More from instinct than from need The wounds I have aren't healing I do nothing now but bleed ( chorus ) So, its in the name of anger I've decided to take flight Under cover of the darkness My spirit rises high In the name of anger My blood flows free tonight I surrender to your madness And I leave this life behind ~ In the name of anger ( bridge ) You've taken so much from me now I've nothing left to give I'm not certain anymore if there's A reason left to live But as long as there's a breath in me I know I must move on I'll just feed upon this feeling Use it's strength to see the dawn So, its in the name of anger I've decided to take flight Under cover of the darkness My spirit rises high In the name of anger My blood flows free tonight I surrender to your madness And I leave this life behind ~ ( repeat and fade ) In the name of anger It's all in the name of ANGER !!!
