i couldn't belive that at last it was true
I am excited and pleased as soon i will be
A mother , a friend to my child, everyone will see.

I tell my husband when he's all alone
That a dad he will be and he lets out a groan
"I'm happy" he says with worry in his eyes
"Isn't it hard how quickly time flies"

So here i am as big as a whale
no one told me that my waistline would fail
My trousers are tents and i can't see my feet
But i hope that soon my child i will meet

Laid asleep in the middle of the night
my husbands snoring with all his might
I look down the bed to find a big puddle there
"have i wet myself?" i say as i look and stare

Oh no here it comes the most amazing pain
I knock my man for his attention i gain
"i think it's started" i shout in his ear
"I'll get the car started and get all of your gear"

The ride to the hospital is the longest i've known
"Why are there so many bumps?" i sigh and groan
We arrive at the door just as i feel like i'm dead
I scream in his ear that i will never again share his bed

We are in the room and i am holding him tight
I want to hurt him so hard and with all my might
for it's his fault i'm here and in so much pain
He looks at me lovingly and keeps me sane

The nurse comes in with a sly little smirk
"are you ok" she says as she lurks
I look up at and her uniform i tug
"all i want now is some of those damn good drugs!"

With one final push it is all done and gone
in my arms, my baby, my precious little one
I smile at my husband and he names him Ben
I smirk as i say "lets do it again."

I remember those days and it is all quite true. This is quite heartwarming and cute at the same time. Pain quickly forgotten when you hold that precious babe in your arms.
