About people being hurt, shot and abused
What can we do to heal their pain
What can we say to keep them sane

Innocent children caught up in a war
tiny bodies so hurt and so sore
No mother to hold them tight in their arms
No money to feed them and no land to farm

A runaway girl who hated her life
Couldn't cope with the abuse from dads wife
Now lays in a gutter far from her home
Her killer at large and the streets he roams

Children find guns and now they see
How easy it is to kill and be
Another statistic for the government to say
It's the parents fault for them being that way

This world can be cruel and hurtful inside
And we have to live in it and rules to abide
That there is a reason for everyones pain
But for god sake don't let them go through it again. Well written. So sad but very true.
