Array ( [sid] => 59205 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Broken Man, Born Again [time] => 2004-08-06 23:52:44 [hometext] => This poem is something that comes from all my troubles in the past few months from my custody battle with my daughter to my heart surgery and being homeless for a time. because of this poem it is overwith and solved I won. Enjoy let me know your thoughts [bodytext] => swallowed hollow and alone living desolent starving for a home
this dragon's taken over me, why couldn't he just let things be
I don't want this life, let me live with this strife
boiling up inside burning me alive he sees the weakness and is ready to strike
broken wings now mended life breathes in him again
awakened from sorrow fueled by blue eyed hate
pieces of a shattered attraction build up inside of me
crown of red and eyes of white tears of black
this fire burns bright
coming up from this sacred place inside of me
once soothed by my fictacious symphony
the violins have stopped calling
candles flicker in the storm ridden skies
to reveal the face of a creature awakened inside
and the body of a broken man now gently placed down by the claws of a great beast
I can taste the salt of the sea in the winds around me
as this dragon flying overhead prepares to become once again a part of my being
I can't deny who I am can't keep it all buried in a never ending nightmare
standing in the mist of this dragon I must sew my soul back in
put an end to the nightmare and let my dream begin
