Billowed in white
Floating to her new life
From beneath the thin white gauze
Her red hair glows in the light
Ans the joy reflects from her face
Her eyes glittering brown
Are on him alone
The one she is being given to
And in them he drowns in
Her hopes
her innocence
Her dreams
Her love
all reflected
On this face
One knows this bride
Though afraid
Is strong inside
Firm in the love of the Lord
Who created her
and in the love of the one
who held out his hand
and promised to protect
always.

I consider weddings to be doorstep moments. Those moments in your life where your eyes, heart & mind are privileged to view an event that is precious, elegant and time pauses for those happy moments.

White understated elegance, vows, the procession that leads to the princess who outshines the atmosphere is an event that warms my heart.

I smile, I cry and I send prayers for happily ever after.

Wonderful poem.

Kie

I like the feeling of committment I got from reading this poem. I liked the part when you said,
Her hopes
her innocence
Her dreams
Her love

That was a good poem. I liked the flow, too. Well done, Emily. God bless,
~Carrie~
