the phone call came as quite a surprise
we like your resume please tell us more
I stammered and I stuttered
finally sputtered out my reply
it was good enough to get an interview

i smiled and answered questions
i tried my best to impress them
with my knowledge and my wit
i was sweating bullets
thinking they'll pick someone else

then next day the phone rings
we think you would be perfect for the job
i accept most cordailly
finally i'm employed [comments] => 9 [counter] => 183 [topic] => 54 [informant] => merry [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )
