I wrote this in about five min. so please dont be too harsh but tell me what you think. [bodytext] => I have wasted countless nights
writing poems about my life
A way in ryme I can express
and vent the anger I supress
but angers such a funny thing
the more you have the more it brings
But still I write these worthless poems
within the darkness of my home
I then pretend you people care
sitting reading in your chair
But you dont know, you never will
no matter what I write or feel
so like the first line I did write

You're a great writer, but you're wrong because people DO care! But thats not the reason you should keep writing poetry, you should keep writing because of the feeling it gives you, not anyone else. Its a release of all the feelings you might not feel like discussing. A good thing about poetry is that it can mean a million different things to a million different people. And I can relate to your poem. Keep writing you're great! Thanks for sharing!

I totally understand how you feel. You are right that we can't ever exactly know what is going on inside of you, but we can relate, because we are also human beings who live and experience the pain and joy of life. So just continue to express yourself, and other people, like myself, will continue to relate and understand, and care.

Be True,
zenmind

I would not call this poem dark, simiply pensive mixed with a bit of self- realization. I think that when you write it can help you even a litttle. I do agree that anger usually just brings more anger. I would definatly know. But I think that some people care, otherwise we wouldn't read it, let alone comment one it. I do agree that no one can know exactly what another person feels. but, people can have similar experiences and feelings. Never downplay that nor turn those with experience away.
