i look around me and see,
this wild wild sea..

the sorrow, and pain in the eyes of the people around me.
why are they here, why are they waiting..
the children, men and women what do they see,
standing and looking at this wild wild sea..

they stand for hours,
looking for what,
they see nothing,
the sea is barron,
this wild wild sea..

now i understand, the are waiting
waiting for their loved ones to return,
to return from this wild wild sea.. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 160 [topic] => 31 [informant] => karrie [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )

Warm welcome to YPDC... the best poetry site on the net...
Lovely poem about something that is close to my heart-- the sea. I have seen this happen many a times because of the fact that I live just across the street from the ocean... and you have written about so vividly.....
Thank you..
Jenni

I love the sea. It holds a power over me, although I expect nothing from it, exept the words it gives me to write.
A very nice piece.
Well done, and welcome to YPDC, althou I see that I am a bit late for that.
Take care.
David
