has brought me to this
this longing for feeling
the tender timeless kiss
of nothing at its greatest
the sun rises the sun sets
we tag along wagering
forgeting about the nets
that bind us to this slab
that covers our own graves
although we make our hours
inside we reamain slaves
to the joys and the sorrows
that make it worth the while
we try,we cry, we die
somehow we fake a smile
revolving, this rock we crawl upon
we spin, yet we sit still
for nothing ever changes
and nothing ever will
we run along blindly
not thinking of the cost
never looking back to see
if a part of you gets lost
keep moving on to better times
the future holds in store
more of this great nothingness
and the longing for much more

wow your words come together beautifully I loved it....

"never lose your sense of wonder, get your fill, but always keep your hunger"

words to never lose your touch in writing...

much love,
Dani

I like this one, holder - I think because it's so relatable. I absolutely know this feeling.... I could have written this piece myself months/years back (still?) - but it wouldn't have had your wonderful voice as this does. Mine would have probably seemed 'flat' by comparison.

This is a pensive, knowing write... I very much like it for that reason. 'Running blind'... yeh... I get that.

Hoping you never know monotomy for long,
SNM
