I don't agree
for you and me
the show has been called over;

I don't forsee

As it happens
I am not swayed
by reasons laid
nor words of future ending;
as it happens
my hand I stayed
and boldly tried
to call it merely pending.

my love shows
heaven knows
deterred I will not be;

water flows
ocean grows
and thus it is with me.

Nicely written. 'To call it merely pending' - a phrase I find makes a lot of sense in this context!
