head held high but eyes still down
What has this girl been through to end up so cold
How can she smile yet still frown
Can the world be so cruel that her light has gone
Faded now behind her eyes
Can a world take so much without giving back
Outside wains as inside dies
I want to reach inside and show her my hands
Can I warm such a cold soul
Breath life back into a body without want
Tell me how to fill this hole
She wont acknowledge my presence beside her
Tell me you want me to stay
Desperation, make her see how much this pain
Hurts the more you pull away
But just out of arms reach she sits in the dark
Dreams of loneliness abound
Its so hard when your struggling to find someone
That does not want to be found
Now her beauty and sorrow combine so well
But she used to laugh with ease
I want to stop her from falling away from me
Want to see the things she sees
Find the courage to rest hand upon shoulder
Raised her gaze up from the ground
With those eyes so dark it hurt me to see
That she still smiles with a frown

When I read a poem that makes me want to literally reach out and help the person being wrote about I know it is a mind blowing poem.

You are to be commended for writing a splendid poem.

Kie
