Array ( [sid] => 5846 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Internal Corruption [time] => 2002-10-29 20:20:00 [hometext] => [bodytext] => A gust of wind crosses the barren plain in my head,
there is a twitch in the back of my brain,
something isn't right, there is laughter,
I can feel the changes taking place.

My back is changing shape,
my eyes have sunken away,
I am ravaged from the inside,
as my skin rips and apart.

I collapse to my knees,
and let loose an anguished scream,
my hair falls down around me,
as in my pain I softly cry.

My fists are clenched so tightly,
as blood begins to flow,
from the jagged wounds in my hands,
where my nails had quickly grown.

I can feel demon wings sprout from my back,
my consciousness unravel,
and my soul take flight.

My reflection causes the mirror to shatter,
and now, in my darkest hour,
though I am surrounded,
I feel so alone.

Merely an example to be stared at,
a creature that can't be helped.

I tried to be what you wanted of me,
and now my heart is breaking,
and I'm dying,
this existence is killing me,
and your laughter echoes all around...

wow... is that creature you turn into a metaphor? Cause if it is then it's a totally effective one.
