who on this planet, walk, or crawl.
little quirks, and tendencies.
for in all lurks eccentricities.

Habits learned, penchants persued.
Likes and dislikes, from which ensued,
all the grand and lesser signs,
of lifes living:( at least mine )

I went native. It's plain to see.
Crossed the border. Yessiree!
Swam the river, hit the trail.
Joined the circus, and set sail.
To points unknown. Until I knew 'em.
With many. Alone. First to, then through 'em.

Hitched a ride to who knows where?
Caught a plane to here and there.
Walked a straight line, ran amuk.
Made it free and gotten stuck.

Learned a few things on the way.
Forgotten more things I would say.
Cut a fat slice off lifes hog.
Been the cat's meow. And the bark of dog.

Much more than this, much less as well.
From heavens bliss, to hiss of hell.
Now I look back at all these things,
both lifes pleasures and its stings
as two sides of a coin of ancient realm.
I liken to a ship with two masters at the helm.

Not contrary. Not at all.
For between them both, life gives one call.
That all of us recognize, and answer as we will.
As for me? One day I went over the hill.
As of yet, I haven't gone back.
To my gain, or to my lack.
I don't believe i'm supposed to.
Or I just don't want to.
Yeah. That could be it too. I guess.
And yours is as good as mine.

Ohhhhhh, I do like this!!!! It's a thinking man's poem for sure...
I really like how this is presented as well... very well thought out... but not cluttered up with anything unnecessary. This is an easy read... but a weighty one.

Impressed again by your work,
SNM
