that says I'm fading?
Can you see through the facade
that's hiding me breaking?

Could you hold me,
slide your hand across my skin
with the scar tissue,
and not scream within?
There's a pain inside this heart,
along with scars upon my wrist.
Have I convinced you yet,
to stay away from this?

Can you see behind the wristband
that hides this hidden life of mine?
Can you see beyond the pain
that consumes my sunshine?

There's a demon that haunts my lovely veins,
another my innocent hands.
One picks up a razor and releases the other,
increasing both their demands.
These words and my actions
prove there's something amiss.
Have I convinced you yet,
to stay away from this?

Can you hear the voices in my mind
screaming at me to cease to exist?
Can you hear the tremble in my voice
when I just can't resist?

These tears crack my soul in pieces,
I'll fall apart in your hands.
Living is killing,
and the pain, it just expands.
Life beside me
means breaking bliss.
Have I convinced you yet,
to stay away from this? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 13 [informant] => waos [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

This is an excellent write, I can really relate to it. I really dont know what else to say, other than sometimes its nice to pretend you're not alone but sometimes, you can no longer pretend. If someone is there for you and is really trying then dont push them away, loneliness hurts just as much

I dont know, i'm just talking crap right now. Ignore me if I make no sense. Again, great poem and sorry for yabbering.

Take Care
- Becca
