appeal to my eyes,
the beauty and innocence
creature a mixture of life,
a mixture of love and purity.

The beauties on Earth
overwhelm my heart
and embrace my soul,
a carpet of precious gems
cover my astonished eyes.

My eyes, those of a dreamer,
deep green and sympathetic,
look to the world
with great interest,
and a desire to heal all destruction.

My heart holds safely inside
all the sadness of the world,
but the teachers of the land
keep my alive, keep me living,
full of a love for life.

Spiritual feelings and hope for man
call to my mind, to my heart,
in new ways, in new lights,
as though the teachings of compassion and tolerance
have molded me anew.

Life I carefully protect,
not only my own,
but the animals of the world,
the people I love dearly,
the ones who name themselves my enemies. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Vampy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
