Somewhere between light and darkness
A place in various shades of gray
Where the worlds of good and evil collide
Where it is neither beautiful nor ugly
Neither safe nor deadly
It is a place of exquisite despair
Of lethal magnificence
Of deafening silence and freezing flames
Somewhere between peace and destruction
There is a place of comfort
A place of solitude and grief
A place of chaos and confusion
A sanctuary for the mortal Gods
A haven for the raging peasants
Somewhere between love and hate
There dwells pride, envy and pain
Immaculate yearnings and hopeless dreams
There lies sacred vows and shattered promises
A warzone of affection and disgrace
And the cries of battle ringing on deaf ears
Somewhere between freedom and punishment
The light and darkness becomes harder to seperate
Punishment leads to obedience leading to disintegration
While freedom leads to pride leading to fake immortality
Where vulnerability is a sin and weaknesses can kill
Where pointless facts bear the secrets of our race
Somewhere between heaven and hell
There is a place
A place of happiness and sorrow
A place of glory and fleeting distress
Where angels and demons move within each other
Where man's greatest desire is hidden
Somewhere...

I take my hat off to your write, it's one of the best descriptions of the world that I have read in a long time. I dont think I could say much more, other than *two thumbs up*
