Walking into some sort of oblivion,
Not knowing what we about to be given.

Life can leave you blind,
You can not see what’s inside,
Until it is right on top of you,
Then there’s nothing you can do.

You can either sink or swim,
Carry on when your future looks dim,
Or give up at the first hurdle in life,
Throw yourself at the mercy of a knife.

You have an assault course to complete,
Can you succeed or will you admit defeat?
When the mist is in front of your eyes,
Will all of your hope suddenly die?

Or can you carry on, vision clouded,
Even though you feel yourself surrounded,
By this unseen world & all it holds,
A world that’s so powerful & cold.

Ah my Dear Pixie,
Such a powerful write. Makes one think about their own life and what they have experienced. Never give up hope. There is life beyond the fog. there is also always someone holding the torch to light the way.

Hugs,
The Voice

I like this. It doesn't really give you advise, but it does make you aware of your choices.
Graet Job!

Thought provoking write, Pixie. We can either succumb to the darkness or pull up our boot straps and walk out of it into the light. Wishing you the best.

Pixie this is marvelous.
But remember, no matter how hard life may seem, as the tide rises to cover the scene....never never never give up! Life is too short, and too lean....stand up if you must...but never ever give up!
Loved it
