Beauty in a Bottle

Contributed by kyletycz on Saturday, 24th July 2004 @ 02:17:03 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

This bottle came floating up to me
Along the sandy shore of the rising sun
What could this container possibly be

I picked up the murky glass canister
Only to find a picture of a beauty inside
It was a lovely picture of her

This angel only known to live in thought
This picture burned many a day into the attic of my mind
All the joy that the image brought

This beauty trapped in a bottle of glass
As many walk by, they take no notice
They just want to walk on past

But for those who stop to gaze
Not a piece of trash on the crystalline sand
But a beauty leaving all in a daze

If only more would stop and clear off the dust
Then more could come to love the truth
The beauty on the inside of the murky bottle
To see the beauty on the inside, for some of us; a must

Amazing, I love the message behind this. Catchy title, too.
