calling me. i try so hard to forget it all
its impossible. its part of me now
part of who i am
i wish i could turn to face the shadow
but the shame makes me feel so hollow
so many things to say
so many things i could have done
but as usual i choose wrong.
i say the wrong things think the wrong things
i'm just messed up and mixed up.
i scream i'm sorry but the shadow stays.
it wants something more.
something i can't give.
i guess time heals all wounds

been there
done that
got the tee-shirt!

good write!

the shadow needs to be faced and incorporated into your self, not in shame nor pride-- but as fact. then it will be a source of sorrow, but thru the sorrow, strength...

You're talented. This a good poem written by a madman or woman. I give it a 3.8 on the Nortiscale.

Wow. This poem creates strong feeling and really hits home ~ nice job ~ you really put your heart into this. I feel for you and can say that time does not always heal these types of wounds - atleast for me I had to look back and face it before I could move on.......lotsa luv ~ Jess

We all have our share of shadows. I used to think that time heals all wounds...that isn't true. (sorry to sound so pesemistic!) After years of therapy for years of stupidness, I have come to the conclusion that the only thing that is able to heal our wonds is God. And that learning to accept the forgiveness He has offered me is the only way to make that shadow disipate. He will forget what we did. Will we forget what we did...no. That is a good thing, that way we are much less likely to repeat that mistake and much more likely to be so thankful for the Grace that has been poured out upon us. I have been studying this, because I am dealing with these emotions and feelings now. This was a wonderful write. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the wonderful work.
God Bless

This is a great write and I partly agree that time heals all wounds, but I also think that there are some things time will never heal....
