Entranced by its beauty cascading down stonewall.
She hears a sound, turns and looks beyond,
Her gaze has focused, she thinks she's being conned.
The sight she beholds catches her breath,
The creature before her, its beauty holds depth.
His coat glistens white as the pure driven snow,
His mane cascades, with a gentle breeze does flow.
His tail carried high, catches her breath,
She stifles a cry as towards her he steps.

She quietly approaches, gently strokes his back,
He kneels before her, she springs on him bareback
They race through the woods at breakneck speed,
Twilight approaches as the sun recedes.
They return to the waterfall where they first met,
She brushes his soft coat as the sun does set.
He nickers so softly in her ear,
Telling her he will always be near.
The moon sparkles like diamonds on the clear water,
They will never be apart, they will always be together. You amaze me every day with your writes. Who knew I married a poet? Your feet don't show it, Longfellows aren't they? Just teasing you babe. Keep writing.
