thats how i use to think
i had more friends then
more people laughing
enjoying my time
they said it was special
but all of a sudden
they hated me
i use to put myself down
just to hear them say
'oh my god your not ugly your pretty'
i didnt realise i was doing it
'till i had a wake up call
men
they fancied me i knew it
but i some how drove them of the edge
they got frustrated with me
and annoyed that i didnt like them back
i hated them liking me
i wasnt use to it
it was almost enough to drive me close to the edge
but i thought
whats the point
and my mind was damned
with thoughts and vanity
and i lost the real ME in the space of a breathe
as in went inside of me
the warmth filled me
and as it left i froze
forever in my own story
of vanity... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 31 [informant] => Hannah_Heaven [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )

Vanity crushes the real beauty of a person. I am sorry you had to learn a hard lesson but better now than after it had crushed the life out of you. Nice write.

hannah this is captivating. your words are a story to tell. my first impressions of your writing was emaculance because of the fact that you use real life situations in your poetry. i can visualize all the heartbreak, all the attempted suicide. everything. this is precious.
