Unable To Jump!!!!

Contributed by deathdrop on Tuesday, 20th July 2004 @ 04:27:29 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Sitting in lesson,
Writing down my thoughts,
Things are a little better,
But I still feel quite distraught.
They haven’t started yet!
It’s the first time since I’ve been back.
But I mustn’t keep my hopes up,
Since they enjoy turning me black...

I’ve got today, and tomorrow.
Then we break up.
Then I’ve got 6 weeks with my head.
And 6 weeks with my mum.
I’m not looking forward to it.
I don’t know how I’ll cope.
I want to stay in England!
Stay with my mates, not drain my hope.

I’ haven’t got much faith in me.
I can’t stand, I hear the screams.
When I hear the echoes,
When I’m lying in my bed.
When I see your face.
Teared, with dread.
Then some else says I’m a good mate,
So he won’t let me go.
That’s cares about me.
...And he wants me to know.

I’m feeling mixed up,
To know that others care,
Looking at a month ago,
No one was there!
And suddenly they’ve all appeared.
... And they’re saying how much I’m loved.
And they’re saying that I don’t deserve this!
They’re acting like angels from above.

I’m feeling so confused.
So stressed inside my head.
And every time I now go on a roof,
I CAN’T JUMP! ‘coz I know they care...

You are in a fix!

Have you considered just jumping off a shed roof first,
and then maybe a one storey building? If that goes well,
then you could try a two storey, and so on until ya get the
job done. Sometimes you've just go to build up to it. *g*

Seriously though, I'm glad that you're feeling better emotionally,
and that you've managed to build a support group to help you
through the hard times.

Keep it positive, and don't be afraid to laugh at yourself.

I know what ya mean. But maybe it's a good thing you hear them. Maybe there's something great you're meant to do and there here to stop you. I know it's hard when you want to leave so much, but something's holding you back. Kinda like a catch 22. Just try and hang in there. Listen to the voices. I know you're sick of this by now, (I am too, trust me...) but I wouldn't want you to jump. I enjoy your poetry far too much. Others do too. If nothing else, stay here and write poetry to show the world what they've done to you, and millions like you. Show them just how terrrible they are, while doing something that you love. Keep writing, use it as your outlet. I'm here if you ever wanna talk. About anything.
