Rustle of silken thought entwined
Our hearts grow ever near
If I could but touch your hand
See the look in your eye
Yet we are bound by endless disruption
To keep us far and away
Follow trails of ink stained fingers
We press on in our accomplishments
Finding depth within the word
Disparity does not escape us
Still we share the same misery
In loves scratchy cloak of despair
Ill suited to our temperament
Seeking fire within the heart
Embers languish without air
Await fair winds to breathe us alive again
While words declare we are sovereign lovers
Antiquity runs through our veins like blood
We have been here before….to find each other

Oh, Merry --- beautiful! Our styles are a bit different... but *sigh* it seems we think a lot alike. I love how you've expressed it here - it feels rather familiar and quite understandable. It is, very much so, even bigger than the words on the page.

I believe in the reincarnation relationships.
This is beautiful. Poetic souls find each other and feel they have been sewn together like Siamese twins. Tear them apart and they function in a sort of parallel universe until time or fate makes a place for them.
You always say it so well.
