Cleansing Rain

Rain pours gently down
On those with widely open arms.
Why do some avoid its kisses?
Will it wash them all away?
They cry and run when they hear thunder.
Never do they stand their ground.
But there are those who love the rain,
For then they are truly clean.

I've never been much of a nature person, but lately I seem to be enthralled by the glory of nature. I liked your poem, I too wrote a poem about the rain as well recently. A very true write.

This poem is a wonderful little poem. Growing up and running from the rain is a sad loss of our youth. Wish we kept more of the "little kid" inside of us.
