Insecurities

Insecurities

What is this thing that
Screams in my ears,
That chants profanity
To my mind,
This thing that says
I should find a hole
And hide.
That haunts my memories,
And kills me slowly,
The thing inside me,
Burning lonely.
Disfiguring my self esteem.,
My attitude…
So well held?
The thing that whispers
Words I dwell.
That captivates my freedom
In pursuing happiness.
Locked in a dungeon
Of rusty walls of sadness.
Breathing fire into me,
Melting me into
Pain.
Showers me with doubts,
My mind threatens to go insane.
This thing that blurs my vision,
And goes into a state of amok
This thing that screams beside me,
Thrusting me into dark.
How intriguing that you ask,
What can this thing be?
My eyes will say it all :
My I N S E C U R I T E S
