I really need to do
Every time i attempt
Its always falling through

Half my mind keeps asking
"What way is best for me"
While the other half is begging
Joanna, please don't leave

so this time i'm gonna do it
I won't contemplate my thoughts
i'll get them out of my mind
so they're not sitting there to rot

Around noon time
I'm lying on the floor
Tears are running down my cheeks
Police are at the door

60 seconds passes by
theres a siren in my ear
as 4 paramedics
tell me "kid, hang in there"

Within 5 minutes
i'm lying in the ER
One doctor pumps my stomach
While the other stitches up my arm

8 hours after that
I woke up and saw what I've done
Only to find myself alive
How come I'm not gone?

A half hour elapses
People flood my room
I look up at their faces
Each one full of gloom

There was preaching and questioning
For atleast an hour straight
And when they asked me for all these answers
I told them, 'it was getting late'

My friend wanted to stay with me
I told her just to go
I told her I would see her in the morning
I wanted to be alone.

It was nearly midnight
When that thought had struck my mind
"I know what your thinking" it said
"Come on give it another try"

I walked over to the window sill
pulled aside the blinds
pushed out the screen
Angels watch me fly. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 260 [topic] => 61 [informant] => DeLeriousTearZ [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

Wow, that was a great poem.. I really liked it. How did the paramedics find out? Sorry... I've attempted 3 times... curiosity killed the cat... But I really loved it. It had very strong immagery. I'm sorry you had to go through that... I hope your life has gotten at least a little better...

It's a really good poem, but in my experience, once they get you in there, they don't give you a chance to kill yourself again. Not while you are there. There are no windows that you can get through, there are no strings long enough, and you get freaking plastic cutlery.

But your poem? Utterly beautiful and the images in it to me are wonderful and amazing.
