That’s what Mark said the other night,
After one of our heart breaking fights,
It hurt me deep to hear him say,
That he is scared of me every day.
I feel like such an awful girlfriend,
One with nothing but anger to send,
I don’t deserve what I have got,
I’m gonna give recovering my best shot.
Anger is such a destructive emotion,
It powers along like a locomotion,
But that’s no excuse & not one I’ll use,
I’m working at lengthening my fuse.
I know I have a hard battle ahead,
But I’m not going to roll over & play dead,
I am going to learn the art of self control,
As that will make my relationship whole.
I feel totally ashamed & disgusted,
That my temper can not be trusted,
I love my boyfriend with all my heart,
Soon in my life anger won’t have a part.
