If you are hurt, your wounds I shall tend.
Your cries of loneliness, sorrow and pain;
A song of beauty, none the same.
The soul of the wolf, alone and free.
A thing of beauty, for none to see.
You run with swiftness, away from the pain.
You try to hide, but it remains.
As the moon rises, and starts to wane,
You sing your song, you share your pain.
The soul of the wolf, alone and free.
A thing of beauty, for none to see.
The soul of a lone wolf is a sorrowful thing.
More sorrowful than the song you sing.
Yet the wolf that sounds that sorrowful cry,
Is the strongest of all, whose soul shall not die.
The soul of the wolf, alone and free.
A thing of beauty, only I can see.

This is in reply to the above comment. You are actually correct, this is not about a wolf. This is about the strength of a person, the feelings of a person. But not just anyone person. This is meant to include all. This is about spirit; the spirit that keeps humankind and animalkind alike alive. This is about being strong, and compassionate, and about life in general. I don't know if this makes sense to you, but that's the best I can explain it.
