Array ( [sid] => 56297 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Numb [time] => 2004-07-15 15:48:26 [hometext] => I know all my poems seem to be just me complaining buts its just the only thing i can really write about...i'm sorry if it seems that way to you guys i just need to get my emotions and everything out somehow...please feel free to comment [bodytext] => I’ve just become so numb
Pain is all I know
I don’t know true happiness
But I won’t let it show

I try to help so many people
But it all seems so fake
How can I help anyone
When I can’t do anything for my own sake

My life just doesn’t seem to get better
I’m not really sure why
I guess I did something wrong
Because I always seem to cry

People say I shouldn’t be sad
I’ve got a lot to live for
But I just don’t see it
I just can’t take anymore

I guess I’ll just hold on
See what happens next
My life can’t get much worse
It’s just become so perplexed

I don't see this as complaining, but more along the lines as honest. Honesty is good there's no point in acting happy and writing about puppies, kittens, and sunshine if all you feel is darkness. Don't worry though writing poetry (i have found) can be very soothing. Keep your strength up and keep on writing. By the way I liked your poem.

I think poetry is a form of therapy for the soul. Posting as much pain as you can just solidifies where you are at in life and sharing it with others. This is a very nice poem!Keep on releasing. Keep on writing!
angel always... godspeed...joni
