That moves across the floor,
Every scratching at the window panes,
Every clawing at the door,
Makes me remember that you are still
On the loose outside my house,
And to you, scaring me to death,
Is just a game of cat and mouse.
So I lose sleep and stare at the door,
Watch the knob, see if it turns,
Scared to death that it's you,
On the other side, highly disturbed.
Was it you tonight on the line,
Just breathing heavily,
And are you the one leaving roses on my car,
Oh Jesus, can it be?
And are you the one
That is parked outside my house?
Why is it that you insist
On playing cat and mouse? [comments] => 2 [counter] => 155 [topic] => 13 [informant] => ginsdance [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
