You could say your someone you aren't.
You can lie and no one in the world can know only you.
No face on the screen just a picture.
Is that really you or is that just a picture you've found to confuse me?
Are you really a girl or are you a guy?
Are you a guy who's really a girl?
You don't know and I don't know.
Who's lying here?
Who ever you maybe, the only thing we can be is friends.
You can say you love me but that could be a lie.
I hate to find out that the lie is that your a guy or your a girl with a man.
These questions have started to comsume me.
As I push the keys and the words appear I still wonder the same thing.
IM me when ever your on but until we meet I dare not say i love you.
I will not tell you where I live and will not tell my full name.
If you find me then I will be a lose for me.
But if do find me then I will know who you are and what you look like and then I'll see if you were lying to me.

Ok, heaven forbid that I should mention the spelling errors
or the poor punctuation; for I know that I'll be set upon by
the growing multitude of Generation X-ers who have grown
up with poor spelling and punctuation skills due to playing too
much nintendo and not enough time spent with their nose
in a book.

And they really do get defensive about it to the extent
of denying that there's a problem. As Bill Murray would
say, "It just doesn't matter."

So, I'll confine my comments to the content.

This new internet phenomena of meeting someone on the web
and really getting personal with them to the point where one may
think that they're falling in love with their soulmate is happening
with greater frequency.

Here are a few things that you might want to consider about
interpersonal relations. It is my contention that one cannot
fall in love with someone who they've met on the internet.
Oh, you may strike a bond, and later meet the individual
and fall in love with them, but it won't actually happen until
after you have spent some time with them and interacted with
them over a period of time.

Internet interaction is one-dimensional. There are too many
interpersonal cues missing to be able to determine if there is
compatibility between you.

I'm speaking about visual and auditory cues. And the gut
feeling that you get about someone.

And even after all this, people are constantly making very costly
mistakes due to the skill of very manipulative persons who are
out only for sexual gratification, and/ or your money.

All-in-all, your poem is not bad by Generation X-er standards,
and certainly very topical.
