[bodytext] => I promised myself I would never let you close But you didn’t seem to ask me whether you had my permission You ran through my walls as if they never were there But maybe for you they didn’t exist You stole my heart and held it tightly in front of me You made see things I’ve never wanted to see. You never gave me the chance to retaliate or pull back from you For you always came a step closer towards me Through all my pain and anguish you never were shaky, you were always steady. You held my hand through all my tears and held me close when I let you see all of my fears. When you looked at me I knew I could soar through all the problems of this world. You gave me that sense of security, the feeling that it was all right to be me. You never doubted my love or my trust Yet you always knew my pain You sat there quietly as I poured my heart out As I trusted you would never betray me. Still to this day, you hold me as I cry You wipe every tear from my eyes You speak so softly when you know I am weak and hold me up, you give me strength. You are my best friend and I don’t know what I would do if it weren’t for you I might be dead or alive, neither is for sure. All I know is that there is nothing I wouldn’t do for you.
