No matter what it might be
Even though I still love you
I know now you will never love me
So I shall follow my own advise now
I shall end my selfish misery
I had promised not to forget you
You never promised not to forget me
So leave me in my misery
Hold my emotions in captivity
Forget my name, forget I loved
Forget my face, I've given up
Nothing is as it once was
Not like that was any good
I have held you dear to my heart
I did all I possibly could
I thought I needed you to live
I believed you were the one
But through all the pain I have endured
I feel like I have been reborn
So leave me like you found me
Lost and afraid of the world
For if it was my right to love you
Then this world wouldn't seem so cold
Letting go is never easy
But it is something I must do
So this is the way I will tell you
My way of saying I still love you
But forget I ever existed
For this world has taken my soul
I had prayed for someone to love me
I had forgotten what I came here for [comments] => 4 [counter] => 243 [topic] => 22 [informant] => poet_of_anger [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
