The other, to think is a difficult chore
My dad, who always insists to please
Is forever cursed with a painful disease

My mom, with the alcoholic side
Fills my head with lotsa lies
I see her go from guy to guy
Who she always seems to defy

My friends come and go
Some from a long time ago
We grow apart and sometimes end
Sadly this has become a trend

Me, myself, I'm cursed with depression
Shy, worrisome, and surrounded by deception
I'm sad, boring, a constant failure
Cowardly, gift-less, and poor

I do not meet the expectations
Of my many close relations
And now that the depression has sunk in
Now the sorrowful playing of the dear old violin [comments] => 1 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 61 [informant] => lifefliesby [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )

1- cowardly??? not at all... Cowards don't stand by their girlfriends like you stand by me
Cowards don't tell their friends that even though you've been dumped by her twice they still have to be good to her
Cowards would be lucky to be counted amongst you.

2- boring and gift-less and yet I love you and you write poetry and have lots of people who love you, a caring heart and a deep mind

3- this poem is good, really good... and I like the ending and the title.

Love always,

Chelsea
