Before my sight
My world is simply
Endless night

This world alone
I cannot bear
I need you close
To drown each care

I need you close
To me each day
And this to God
I ever pray

This prayer to God
In heav'n above:
"To be near Carrie
For her I love"

"To be near her
That I love best
For then would I
Be truly blessed" [comments] => 6 [counter] => 175 [topic] => 2 [informant] => wachumiri [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

This reads surprisingly like a song. I could make this into song lyrics easily; great job.

Awww...
Cool piece. I love the rhythm of the first stanza.

Buck up, you two. What is it, two weeks? You'll live.

*freely and willingly commented by the ever-so-generous Andrew for his melancholy cousin David*

Don't worry, Andrew, I came home a week early! Well, David, I loved that...especially since my name was in it and all again. Awwwww.....quite lovely. I am lonely without you too, but keep praying for me.
Love,
~Carrie~

It is so painful to be separated from the one you love and time seems to drag on and on doesn't it? Here's to happy reunions!
