THE SEQUAL PAGE 1

As the heavens saturated the land, I sauntered out of the library to be greeted by a chorus of thunderclaps.
Black birds still perched unmoving, feathers unruffled dry. One black sedentary cat in the doorway of a house, eyes shimmered in the dancing rain. My own dancing seemed to be my blood it was fiery, I felt like a living volcano of immense power.
The next day I awoke for school. Darth Maul starred back at me from the toy box, a complex face that seemed vaguely familiar, a gripped light-saber seemed to glow red as did the plastic mans eyes.
I quickly washed and dressed, My Mother shouted as usual for me to get a move on.
“What do you want for breakfast”
“Just some toast mum thanks” I replied.
“There’s some dinner money on the table son”
“Ok thanks mum I will be down in a minute”
“Hope you did your homework” She hollered?
“I have I should get a B+” I lied.
I was not very good at school; my marks were generally poor although they had improved with some private tutoring.
As I leapt down the stairs my mother stared at me almost cold like, with a greeny-grey eye with a twinkle in it.
Did she sense something about me?
Hoofs crashed around my mind as sunlight trickled through the open window.
Her coldness turned to a smile,
“Sleep well I had a weird nightmare thought I had grown out of all that nonsense”
“Not to bad what was your dream about”
She turned fixing me with a mesmerizing stare.
“Oh it was nothing I was just being silly overactive imagination that’s what it is, or to much coffee before bed.”
My mind slipped back to headstones yielding there names to the elements,
It was like I now had a rendezvous with death in a far of dark place.
In the long run we are all dead anyway it’s a ticking clock.

Did I actually want to live forever? My friends and family all gone?
I actually hadn’t given it much thought until now.
I would bathe in the fiery floods or reside to be human,
I felt locked behind a barricade unable to decide my fate.
“You all right you’ve gone very pale,” Mum said.
“I’m fine,” I said snapping out of my fixed stare.
Sitting at the table Mum made some dark golden syrup on toast, this was my favorite washed down with some cranberry juice and tea.
My mind rambled again to a far of place,

Hell dark and very deep,
Here I serve and go to sleep.
Like a complete unknown,
Like a fiery rolling stone.
Whispering sounds in the gloom,
Look for me in the coffers of doom.
Satan sat, by merit raised,
Ember peepers wisdom gazed.

I finished my toast and said goodbye to my Mum.
She waved from the doorway watching me go on my way.
A damp chill clung in the air, raindrops the size of bullets muddied the path and road.
Hurriedly I swept along the path; heart beating fast but I felt as fresh as a daisy.
“Hey Paul your dustbin lid glasses are all wet.” Two of the school bullies walked towards me.
“Get out of the way” I said angrily.
“Or what dork what are you going to do.”
I stood paralyzed with laughter as the two school bullies looked at me with open mouths.
“He’s laughing at us.”
“Come any closer boys and I will hurt you bad.” I said with a cruel smile.

“Come know dork you hurt us, we’ll give you a chance all your pocket money and crisps and we wont punch your lights out cant be fairer than that.”
Wind and rain exploded around like Warlocks and witches in a dance.
My mouth opened to a sneer as lightning forked about like a devilish whip.
My two enemies stood in awe and shock as bedlam grew all around them.
“We fear no evil.” One shouted.
“What are you Paul A demon?”
“I’m your worst nightmare and you are going to pay for ever crossing paths with me.”
The rattling showers rose on the blast as a flame of death sprung from the depths of hell.
Coiled, doubling, snakelike in turmoil engulfed the two boys, incinerating there bodies probing into every orifice, stealing souls as no man can tether time or tide.
Then like a dying ember only charred remains. My soul burned, as the air grew denser I knew my place was at his side.
Like a tempest tossed I Distend into the shadows to take my place in the fires of hell, I shall be lifted nevermore.
For here is wisdom wherever God shall build a temple, the Devil always builds a shrine there.
His number is 666.
