A compliment here
and a nice remark there,
her eyes now held happiness
she hadn't a care.
We took our farewells
and we went on our way,
and thats all it took

I passed an old lady
on my way to town,
she smiled as she passed me
but her eyes held a frown,
so I stopped and I asked her
how was she today?
Then the smile reached her eyes
as she answered "o.k!"
We talked for a while

Yes....sometimes we forget how far a smile and a kind word can go...beautiful verse.
